0:00 Hi, uhm, this is a video on how to add more blog posts. So when you go into the site, you're going to click on Pages.
0:11 Then you'll scroll down to Chirp. And then over here, you can either duplicate an existing blog post, which you can do by clicking on the three little buttons when you hover over the title of a blog post.
0:28 So, click that and you can see there's a duplicate option. Uhm, or you can click the plus button over here.
0:37 And it will add a new blog post. Uhm, at that point you can just enter a new title. And then you can go on to post.
0:48 You can and paste or write here and you can do your usual formatting. So, for example, maybe you want that to be heading.
0:57 I think I've used heading 3. And then paragraph This is a paragraph. Uhm, you can also obviously do a numbered list or a bulleted list.
1:09 And there's other sort of limited options you can do. You can also add, uhm, like a line or you can add, you just click the plus and you can add an image.
1:20 Uhm, so anything that comes up in this little box, you can add, uhm, obviously whatever's available to you there, but mostly you probably just use text.
1:33 But an image, you can do a gallery, uhm, and that's about that. And then, you either, at the end of that, are going to save it as a draft, or you can publish it, or you can schedule it for the future.
1:48 So say, uhm. Let's say that we publish it. It will now be live on your site, but there's still a few more things you need to do, so you can do that before or after you publish.
1:59 So, when you click publish, these three buttons, you need to go to settings, you need to update a thumbnail, uhm, which enables the, sort of, small summary of the image to show up when you publish.
2:13 So, when we just click on this overall page, you'll see that each blog post has a thumbnail, uh, it also has, uh, a title, it has a date, it has an excerpt and a read more link.
2:32 So, you can see this one has some of those, but no thumbnail. So, in order to add a thumbnail, you click on the three dots, go to settings, add an image over here.
2:42 I usually would put the first paragraph, just cut and paste, or first sentence from the paragraph, or the most impactful.
2:49 Sentence, and then over here you can have a custom URL. I would usually add whatever the title is, I'd put it over here, making sure there are hyphens between each word.
3:03 And then the author you want to be sure is you, and not me. Uh, other than that, under options, this is where you can forward date it, or schedule it, or turn it into a draft.
3:17 And then, these other things I wouldn't worry with, uhm, yeah, uh, it's not necessary to deal with those. Location is more like if you're having an event somewhere, and you want to put the actual location. 3:30 The share is for social media, and I tend to not use it, because it can get glitchy. Social media, it will just use it.
3:37 Use your, a thumbnail image that you've used, and the SEO can be automatically generated from the content, so you don't need to do anything else there.
3:47 And just click save, uhm, if you want to delete this, you can just save it. Select it, and hit, uh, delete down here.
3:57 And then it'll stay in the recycle bin after 30 days that it disappears. So, uh, it's pretty straightforward, but let me know if you need more.
4:05 And that's that. Thank you.
