Template installation, customisation and brand integration for a natural light photography business, bringing a distinct personal style to a fresh Squarespace foundation.
THE BRIEF
Cadia is a natural light photographer who needed a website reflecting her personal brand more closely, on a platform that would be easier to manage day-to-day. Rather than build from scratch, she chose to work from a premium Squarespace template and needed a collaborator to customise it, weaving in her existing brand fonts and identity, migrating content from her previous site, and troubleshooting the quirks that come with adapting a pre-built design to a real, growing business.

APPROACH
This project was all about finding the right balance between a template's built-in structure and a client's own brand identity. Early on, we experimented with font pairings side by side testing Cadia's brand fonts against the template's originals through video walkthroughs, so she could see exactly how each option felt before committing. That same collaborative, no-rush rhythm carried through the whole project: regular check-ins, screen-recorded updates, and space for Cadia to make the site her own once the foundations were in place. We worked through a few template quirks together looping in the original template designer when needed. The result was a smooth handover, with Cadia confidently managing her own content, guides and imagery through to launch.
